The Miracle In 2002

      In 2002, I experienced a miracle. The miracle changed my life. In 2002, the World cup was held in Korea and Japan. The World cup is one of the most popular sports event in the world. It was the first time korea was the host country. So many korean people really anticipated the festival. This world cup made me a big soccer fan.

 

      During the World cup, I was fifteen years old. Like almost everyone, I was also very excited because I love soccer. My fifteen year-old miracle gradually approached.

 

      On the first match day, the Korean team played against the Poles team. Before the match began, many korean eagerly whised for victory while on the other hand, they worried about losing. Although the Korean team had unfortunately never won the World cup, the Korean team perfectly beat the Poles team by 2:0. The next match, the Korean team played against the U.S.A. At first, the U.S.A. team scored a goal, but in the second half, AHN, who was the Forward on the Korean team made a score. So the Korean team tied with the U.S.A. team.

 

      For the next a few days, Korea played against Portugal team who were competitors. Even though many koreans expected to lose, finally, the Korean team beat the Portugal team. Therefore, they advanced to the second round. I can't forget that time. Whenever Korea got a goal or beat another country, I was very very excited and enthusiastic.

 

      Korea winning many games in the World cup was unbelievable miracle. I want to experience once again the feeling, which impressed me when I was 15. I saw the miracle and the miracle made me a soccer-holic. Yes! I'm the SOCCER-HOLIC!
